An unidentified group set fire at Balmandir Secondary School of Siraha Municipality-7 on Monday morning.

The fire destroyed the school - important documents, two chairs, two drawers, one ceiling fan, and one table. According to the District Police Office, Siraha, the fire destroyed the important documents of the accounting section of the school.

Dev Kumar Yadav, Chairperson of Nepal Children Organization, Siraha opined that there was a foul play behind the incident of fire at the school. According to him, the CDO of Siraha Gopal Prashad Adhikari had demanded important documents of the school. The incident was suspicious as the fire broke out in the school within few days after that and destroyed important documents. He has demanded a fair investigation into the incident and to make the truth public.

According to Apil Bohara, DSP at District Police Office, Siraha, police have started investigation into the incident.
