A group of unidentified persons smeared black soot on the face of Sugat Ratna Kansakar, Managing Director of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), on Friday.
Though it has been said that cadres of CPN (Revolutionary Maoist) affiliated youth association is involved in the incident, the party has not officially owned up the responsibility.
Party leader CP Gajurel said that his party will support the group who smeared black soot on the face of people involved in carrying out financial irregularities while procuring the two wide-body Airbus A330 jets.
Earlier on Wednesday, a report prepared by the sub-committee of the Public Accounts Committee of the Parliament had termed Kansakar as the kingpin of the airbus A330 purchase scandal and recommended for his immediate suspension.
The sub-committee concluded that the procurement of two wide-body Airbus A330 jets by Nepal Airlines Corporation has caused a loss of Rs4.35 billion to the government.
