KATHMANDU, Jan 8: Police have arrested seven youths from the mass gathering organized by a ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) faction led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Dhangadhi on Friday afternoon. The youths attended the program wearing t-shirts with a tag that read “Where is the rapist of Nirmala Pant?”
The spokesperson for the Kailali District Police Office DSP Prateek Bista confirmed that they were taken under control from the mass gathering where PM Oli reached to address the gathering of party leaders and cadres close to his faction. “I am now talking with them [arrested youths]. They were taken control for the sake of their security,” said DSP Bista, adding that they will be released shortly.
