An employee who went to the Bethanchowk village municipality office premises in Kavrepalanchok to collect voter lists with photos was physically assaulted. Kamal Nepal, a registration officer, said that he was beaten while registering his name from Bethanchowk.
Bishnu Prasad Sapkota of Bethanchowk Village Municipality-2 came to another district to fill in the details of his married daughter in the voter's list, meanwhile, there was a dispute regarding the registration of her name due to which register Nepal was beaten on December 12."I was attacked deliberately," Nepal said. He demanded legal action against the perpetrators. Chief of the District Election Office, Umesh Kumar Rai, said that necessary action would be taken after consulting the victim.
