Student attacked with khukuri inside class room in Tipling

A student of the Dongden Secondary School of remote Tipling VDC-3 of the district has been attacked with a sharp weapon inside the classroom on Thursday. Alerong Tamang (15) aka Ashok, a ninth-grader, has been attacked with a khukuri. According to the District Police Office, Dhading, a group of five to six persons including Suleman Tamang of the same school sneaked into the classroom and attacked the students with a khukuri recklessly. Suleman is a permanent resident of Tipling VDC-5 of the district. Police informed that Alerong sustained critical injuries on his head, hands and legs. Locals said that the students divided into two groups used to have a brawl in the past as well and as a result, the group of the students led by Suleman attacked Alerong with the sharp weapon yesterday. Tamang who sustained multiple injuries at various parts of his body has been airlifted to Kathmandu after receiving primary treatment at the Tipling Health Post. Locals said that the attackers fled the scene after the incident. Police informed that they have started a manhunt to nab the absconding attackers.
