A 14-year-old girl was gang-raped in Barbhanjyang village of Tanahun. As many as five teenage boys gang-raped the girl from Barbhanjyang VDC-5 of the district under the influence of alcohol on Tuesday evening, police said. The drunken gang had taken the girl, who was walking alone, under control and committed the crime behind Ekata Boarding School in Panchanagar, police said. The suspects have been identified as Krishna Nepali (17), Rojan Majakoti (15), Sangam Gaire (14), Sunil Majakoti (18) and Manoj Pariyar (14) from Bhanu VDC of the district. They had run away after some villagers reached the incident site following the girl's cry for help. Police, however, had succeeded to nab them some hours later. Police said they are looking into the case and are preparing to file a rape case.
