(Updated) A seven-year-old boy was murdered on Monday night in the district. Pramod Sah of Fakira VDC of the district, who was staying in Rajbiraj Municipality-5 with his brother, was murdered last night. The murderer is yet to be identified. The child has a deep cut in his neck and a bleeding nose, SP Bhim Prasad Dhakal told Republica Online. The dead body of the child has been kept at Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital for postmortem. Police said an investigation into the murder is underway.
Update... A woman accused of murdering her own brother in law, 10-years-old has been life-sentenced by Rajbiraj District Court. District judge Shankar Bahadur Rai’s bench gave the verdict on Pramod’s murder against Sanjila Devi Shah Yadhav and was sent to life term imprisonment. Sanjila, 22-years-old and resident of Fakira-5, Rajbiraj Municipality killed her brother in law Pramod Kumar Shah on 9 May. Pramod was beaten up to death and his dead body was found abandoned in Kulvert, Nala-6 in Rajbiraj Municipality about 600 m south from their home. Meanwhile, Umesh Kumar Shah, Pramod's father had already registered FIR against Sanjila on 10 May.
