च्याङथापू गाविस­­-९ स्थित प्रहरी चौकीमा ०६९ असोज २२ गते तीनजना युवकलाई यातना दिएको खुलेको छ ।

 

झैझगडा गरेको आरोपमा गिरफ्तार गरिएका ओयाम गाविस-१ का २० वर्षीय सुमन राई, २१ वर्षीय डम्बर कार्की र २० वर्षीय रामु राईलाई यातना दिएका हुन् ।

 

नाँगी गाविस-१ का ज्वाला इम्वुङ र ओयाम गाविस-७ का प्रकाश न्यौपानलेलाई कुटपिट गरेको आरोपमा गिरफ्तार गरी बयान लिने क्रममा यातना दिएको पीडितहरूले गुनासो गरेका छन् ।

 

गिरफ्तार गरी चौकी लैजाने क्रममा समेत बन्दुकको कुन्दाले कुट्नुका साथै बयान लिने क्रममा शरीरका विभिन्न भागमा कुटपिट गरेको पीडितहरूले बताए ।

 

सई लेखेन्द्रबहादुर वस्नेतको कमाण्डमा रहेका प्रहरीले कुटपिटपछि ४० हजार रुपैंया बाध्य बनाएर क्षतिपूर्ति भराएको उनीहरूले बताए ।

 

कुटिएका पीडितहरूले ०६९ कात्तिक २१ गते जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयमा आएर डीएसपी बिनोद सिलवालसँगै अधिकारकर्मी र सञ्चारकर्मीलाई जानकारी गराएका छन् ।

 

उनीहरूको पिठ्यु र ढाडमा हालसम्म निलडाम रहेको छ । डीएसपी बिनोद सिलवालले कुटपिटका विषयमा छानबिन गर्ने बताए ।

Panchthar/November 7 It has been revealed that three youths were tortured in police custody at the police post based in Chyangthapu9 on October 8.

Police had tortured Suman Rai, 20, Dambar Karki, 21, and Ramu Rai, 20, of Oyam1 after arresting them on charge of beating two persons.

According to the victims, they were beaten with butt of gun while giving out statements regarding the beating of Jwala Imbung of Nagi1 and Prakash Neupane of Oyam7. They said that the police team led by SI Lekhendra Bahadur Basnet compelled them to provide 40 thousand rupees as compensation.

The victims informed the incident to DSP Binod Silwal, rights activists and media persons at the District Police Office on November 6. The bruises sustained in the police torture are still visible in their bodies.

DSP Silwal said that he would investigate the incident.
