Udayapur police on Tuesday night arrested a youth for attempting to extort money from a trader at Triyuga Municipality. Police nabbed Chandra Sekhar Rai, 28, for threatening grocery store owner Suresh Sah of Triyuga Municipality- demanding Rs one lakh in cash. Police held Rai after Sah called him to give the money. Uttim Lal Sah, Suresh’s brother, said Rai had threatened his brother with life if he did not pay Rs one lakh. Police said Rai was held on the charge of consumption of drugs in the past as well.
