एक किशोरीलाई भारतमा लगेर बिक्री गरेको आरोपमा प्रहरीले एक दम्पतिलाई गिरफ्तार गरेको छ । गिरफ्तार परेका दम्पतिलाई प्रहरीले मानव वेचविखनमा मुद्दा चलाएको छ ।

सुकौरा गाविस -७ की १६ वर्षीया किशोरीलाई हर्नामाडी गाविस-४ का २१ वर्षीय लक्ष्मणी घिमिरे र पत्नि सानुमाया स्याङतानले भारतमा लगेर बिक्री गरेको आरोपमा प्रहरीले गत कार्तिक २७ गते गिरफ्तार गरेको हो । घिमिरे दम्पतिसँग गत भदौ ९ गते बिर्तामोड हुँदै भारत पुर्‍याइएकी युवती हालसम्म पनि घर नफर्केपछि उनको आमा ज्ञानिसा मुक्तानले घिमिरे दम्पतिले छोरी बिक्री गरेको आरोप लगाउँदै प्रहरीमा उजुरी दिएकी थिइन् । उनको उजुरीको आधारमा घिमिरे दम्पतिलाई प्रहरीले नेपालगञ्जमा गिरफ्तार गरेर हेटौँडा ल्याएको हो । घिमिरे दम्पति पञ्जाब हुँदै नेपालगञ्जमा आएर रिक्सा चलाएर बसेका थिए ।

ज्ञानीसा मुक्तानको छोरी भने बिर्तामोडवाट नै छुट्टएिको र आफूलाई केही पनि थाहा नभएको उनले प्रहरी समक्ष इन्कारी बयान दिएका छन् । अन्तरजातीय विवाहका कारण बाबुले अपहेलना गरेपछि पत्नि लिएर घरबाट निस्केका घिमिरेले युवतीलाई बाटोमा भेटेको बताए । दाहिने आँखा नदेख्ने घिमिरेले युवतीको बारेमा आफूलाई केही पनि जानकारी नभएको दाबी गरे ।

Police have arrested a couple on charge of trafficking a girl to India.

Lakshman Ghimire, 21, and his wife Sanu Maya Shyangtan were arrested on November 12 on charge of trafficking a 16-year-old girl of Sukaura7 to India.

Mother of the victim had registered a case against the couple stating that her daughter had not returned home after the couple took her to India from Birtamod on August 25.

Police arrested the couple from Nepalgunj and brought them to Hetauda following the complaint. Ghimire was working as a rickshaw puller in Nepalgunj.

The couple has given statements that the Gyanisha's daughter got separated from Birtamod and that they had no information about her after that.
