Morang/November 22 Police have arrested Lokendra Pariyar, 24, of Singhadevi-5 on November 21 on charge of raping an 8-year-old girl of same place.

Family of the victim registered a complaint at the Area Police Office Belbari the same day saying that Pariyar raped her while no one was at home on November 20.

ASI Kumar Shrestha of the APO Belbari said that the accused was remanded for seven days by the district court.

The victim underwent treatment and medical check-up at the Koshi Zonal Hospital in Biratnagar.
