Child Abductors Sentenced to 14 Years in Prison

Saptari/November 25 The District Court Saptari, on November 25, has slapped 14 years jail term to four persons accused of abducting Ayush Sah, 6, of Rajbiraj N.P.5. The court has also decided to take fine of Rs 1 lakh from each of them and provide Rs 14,500 compensation to the victim.

A division bench of district court judge Ritendra Thapa had convicted Binod Yadab, 21, Bholendra Yadab, 21, of Birpur5, Birendra Sah of ward no. 1 and Aish Ansari, 22 of Rajbiraj municipality-7.

Shrestedar Bed Prasad Upreti of the district court informed that they were sentenced 10 years for abduction, 2 years for organized crime and additional 2 years for abducting a minor. Birendra Saha and Aish Ansari are at large.

They had abducted the victim on February 21, 2011 in pretext of dropping him home in motorbike. The boy was held in captivity for 29 days.

He was rescued with help from Indian police on March 21, 2011. Binod and Bholendra were arrested during the rescue.
