Dead body of Mandira Katuwal, 11, of Marek Katahare-4 has been found in a jungle on November 29.

The deceased, who was living with her sister at Namjang of Parewadin7, had gone to the jungle on November 28 to collect fodder. When she did not return even until late evening, her relatives began to search for her. A search team comprising also of the locals of Namjang found the body in nearby jungle.

The police was informed about the body soon afterwards. A police team led by DSP Bishnu Bahadur Karki arrived at the scene after some hours. Karki suspected that the girl could have been killed after rape. The body has bruises and wounds.

The locals have accused the staffs of Nigale Cement, located at Sidhuwa Bazaar of Parewadin7 of being involved in the incident. Police said they were investigating the case adding they were trying to bring the body to Dhankuta for postmortem.
