District Court, Makawanpur has sent Amardeep Pradhan, 38, of Padampokhari-1 to 10 years in prison, convicting him of rape of a minor.

The perpetrator has also been asked to pay Rs 250,000 to the girl as compensation.

District Judge Tek Narayan Kunwar’s bench had made the decision.

Pradhan had raped the girl of same VDC in a jungle on September 7.
