The Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist on Saturday torched a tower of Ncell at Ashrang-7 of the district. District In-charge of the party, Krishna Wagle told Republica Online that they set the tower on fire as the private telecommunication company has amassed illegal wealth by not paying tax. Police said that the party’s cadres set the generator on fire after sprinkling petrol. “The company has to face dire consequences if it refuses to clear tax,” said Wagle. Ncell service is out of order in the VDC following the arson. Police said they have beefed up security to prevent similar incidents.
