A man in Koshi Haraicha of Morang district on Saturday reportedly murdered his septuagenarian father with an iron chair, police said. The 35-year-old Ram Kumar Rai is accused of killing his 74-year-old father Bhola Man Rai in Situmari, Koshi Haraicha Municipality-15, according to the Belbari Area Police Post. While they had quarreled over a family dispute at around 12 pm today, the man had fatally hit his father’s head with the chair. Bhola Man had died on the spot, according to the police. Meanwhile, police arrested the accused for an investigation into the case. Further investigation is underway.
