An unidentified group reportedly, set fire to a tower of Ncell at Shantichowk in Bharatpur Sub-Metropolitan City-6 Chitwan district, on Sunday night. According to the District Police office, Chitwan, two persons on a motorcycle had approached the tower at about 11:30 pm. Then the duo sprinkled kerosene on a jute sack, set it on fire, and threw the flame on the tower before they fled the scene. The tower’s AC CT box and power supply have been damaged partly as the fire was contained immediately, said SP Basanta Bahadur Kunwar. Nobody has claimed the responsibility for the arson attack. However, police have suspected the involvement of members of Netra Bikram Chand-led Maoist party behind the arson attack. Police are searching for the culprits.
