The District Police Office of Jhapa has informed that it has rescued two women who were being trafficked to India, arresting a woman trafficker in the course. The rescued women have been identified as Bina Oli, 33yrs, of Phattepur vdc-9 in Nepalgunj and Hiramaya Tamang, 21yrs, from Narjamandal vdc-3 in Nuwakot. They were rescued by the police from Chhoti Customs in Bhadrapur with the help of an NGO called Saanaa Haat. 36-year-old Malina Katuwal who was arrested for attempting to traffic the two women to India. She had reportedly lured the two women by offering to take them to see sites in Silgudi. Police has initiated investigation into the incident by taking Katuwal in to custody.
