Yarsha picker found dead in Jumla

A yarshagumba picker on his way back home after collecting the precious fungi was found dead on Thursday. Police identified the deceased as Mun Bahadur Rawal (39) of Gajyangkot-2 in Jumla district. According to the police, Rawal had moved to Patan of Mugu to collect Yarsha on May 23. He had started his journey back to home on June 24 as he had informed his family about his arrival on June 26. Later, Police Sub-Inspector Prem Regmi informed that Rawal was found dead some 500 meters down from Duiya cliff in Gothichaur-9 in the district. Locals in support of police had searched for Rawal when he did not reach home on the stated date. After four days of the search operation, Police found the body of Rawal hidden and decayed which they handed to the Rawal family members.
