A district chairman of Maoist Central, Mal Bahadur Rokaya aka Sitar,47 of Sarmi VDC-3 has been injured after an unidentified group of people attacked him on July 2. According to the eye witness Khadak Bahadur Buda, a group of five people wearing masks attacked him while he was having tea in a hotel near Rupgadh Khola. The victim who sustained head injuries underwent a primary treatment at District Hospital and was referred to Kathmandu for further treatment according to the Maoist center of Dolpa. Police Chief Sumit Khadka of DPO Dolpa said that the reason behind the attack is unknown and search for the attackers are undergoing.
