[Updated] A seven-year-old boy was found murdered at Baijuri-2 in Dang on Friday evening. Deputy superintendent of police Prakshraj Sharma said Deepak KC was murdered using a sharp weapon in his house. The incident took place while the victim's parents were away from home at work. Investigating officers are suspecting the victim's aunt Gomati Khatri, of murdering the victim. Gomati, who is mentally unstable and has absconded since the incident. 

Update... The District Court of Dang has ordered for a life sentence to 26-year-old Gomati Khatri on the charges of murdering her 8-year-old nephew Deepak KC of Bijauriy VDC-2. A single bench of district court judge Churaman Khadka has given a verdict on December 12 after finding her guilty in murdering her nephew. Khatri used a Sharpe weapon to kill her nephew on July 8. She was arrested by the police on July 10 after an FIR against her was lodged by the victim’s family on July 9.
