Police made three persons accused of abducting an eight-year-old public at a press meet organised in the District Police Office, Saptari, today. The three youths had demanded a ransom of Rs 15 lakh from Gangai Das, the father of the abducted Sikendra Das, in Rautahat VDC three days ago. The arrested have been identified as Jitendra Kumar Das, 16, Dilip Kumar Das, 18 and Arbinda Kumar Das, 15, of Rautahat VDC, Saptari. Sikendra is a student at Global Boarding School in Lahan. The youths had lured Sikendra and taken him to Jatahi via Lokaha of India on a motorcycle. SP Bhim Prasad Dhakal at the DPO said Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, along with Indian Police, had worked together to apprehend the youths.
