A teenage boy succumbed to his injuries sustained after being beaten by an unidentified group, on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as 15-year-old Shusant Shrestha of Ramghat, KMC-18, informed police. According to police, Shrestha was on his way home from Thamel when a group of five to seven people started beating him at Chhetrapati on Saturday. He was rushed to the Kathmandu Hospital in Tripureshwor on the very day for treatment. Police informed that nine persons have been detained in connection to the case for further investigation.
