Police said they have arrested three youth for their alleged involvement in an assault and vandalism case at Bansbari of Dakshinkali Municipality-5, on Sunday. Ruben Shrestha (24) from Bagdol in Lalitpur district, along with his two other friends had vandalised a Tata Sumo jeep (Na 1 Ja 2443) and assaulted its driver Sonam Lama (33) from Ipa-4 of Makawanpur district at Bansbari on southern outskirts of Kathmandu. Meanwhile, police impounded two motorcycles (Ba 54 Pa 6385 and Ba 54 Pa 9934) used in the incident from the suspects. Police said Shrestha along with his other friends had resorted to vandalism with helmets and pelted stones. The front and rear windows of the vehicle were smashed in the incident, added police. Police said Lama sustained injuries and has been taken to the Kalanki-based Sahid Memorial Hospital for treatment. Police said they are searching other youth involved in the attack.
