Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum leader arrested in Udaypur for slaughtering ox Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum-Nepal (SSFN) Chairman for Beltar Basaha municipality, Maan Kumar Rai has been arrested by the police on accusation of slaughtering an ox. SP Min Prashad Silwal of Area Police Office of Beltar said, “Rai was arrested while he was slaughtering ox on the bank of Dodhar khola. Rai said, " He did not kill the ox and police is trying to ploy him. Rai will be persecuted as per chapter 7 of Muluki Ain, told the police. As per chapter 7 of Mulukin Ain, people who knowingly kill a cow or bullock shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of twelve years, and a person who instigates for the same shall be imprisoned for a term of six years. Rai however denied the accusation, saying that police were trying to frame him. Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal has meanwhile, expressed dissatisfaction on it's leader being arrested for slaughtering an ox, even though Nepal has already been declared a secular state. गोरु काटेको आरोपमा उदयपुरमा संघीय समाजवादी फोरमका एक नेता पक्राउ परेका छन । गोरु काटेको आरोपमा संघीय समाजवादी फोरमका बेल्टार बसाहा नगरपालिकाका उपाध्यक्ष मनकुमार राई पक्राउ परेका हुन् । राईले घर नजिकै रहेको द्धारखोलाको बाँधमा लगि गोरु काटिरहेको अवस्थामा पक्राउ गरिएको इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय बेल्टारका प्रहरी निरिक्षक भिम प्रसाद सिलवालले बताए । पक्राउ परेका राईलाई मुलुकी ऐन भाग ४ को चौपाया सम्बन्धि महल ७ अनुसार कानुनी कार्वाही अगाडी बढाउने प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । चौपाया सम्बन्धि महल अनुसार जानी जानी गाई गोरु मानैलाई १२ बर्ष र मार्न सल्लाह दिनेलाई ६ बर्ष कैद सजाय हुने व्यवस्था छ । तर पक्राउ परेका राईले भने लडेर मरेको गोरुलाई प्रहरीले फसाउन मारेको आरोप लगाएको बताएका छन् । राज्य धर्मनिरपेक्ष भई सक्दा समेत गोरु काटेको आरोपमा नागरिक पक्राउन पर्नु दुखत भएको सघीय समाजवादी फोरमले जनाएको छ ।
