Rescue of 17 Nepali women who were illegally taken to Colombo

17 Nepali women who were taken to Sri Lanka for better work in Oman, Kuwait, and Dubai have been returned to Nepal. They were brought to Colombo illegally by the brokers and were rescued with the help of Maiti Nepal, the Nepali Embassy, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to the victims, more than 90 women are still being held hostage in Sri Lanka. Maiti Nepal has stated that the process of rescuing them has been expedited.
