P.8, Biratnagar has been arrested by the police on March 14 on charge of forcing a 16-year–old girl into prostitution.

 

The Area Police Office, Itahari arrested the accused after it was revealed that the restaurant owner Hari Thebe, 40, and his wife Dhanu Thebe, 35, forced the victim into prostitution since one year.

 

According to the victim, she was brought to the restaurant by a person known as Kaila for the employment a year ago. She said that she was forced into prostitution and inflicted mental and physical abuses if she refused.

 

The incident is under further investigation, according to the APO Itahari.
