A reportedly inebriated officer at the Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City Office in Parsa district on Friday physically assaulted own boss in a fit of rage. Though the boss, BSMC Executive Officer Bishnu Prasad Koirala was unhurt in the attack, an office assistant sustained minor injuries. Earlier, two drivers employed by the BSMC had vandalised the desk of Administrative Officer Ram Dayal Yadav, after the latter refused to recommend pay hike for the drivers working on the contract basis. The vandalism fuelled anger in Yadav, who was already under the influence of alcohol, and he, hence, resorted to attack on the boss, police said. Yadav is on the run since the incident. Office Assistant Mahadev Yadav sustained injuries while the Administrative Officer attacked the Executive Officer and has been rushed to the Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital. Officials at the BSMC informed that Bishnu Prasad and Ram Dayal were not in good terms since the former transferred the latter to the administration section from the account section around two months ago. वीरगंज उपमहानगरपालिकाका प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृत विष्णुप्रसाद कोइरालामाथि हातपात भएको छ। उपनगरपालिकाका कर्मचारीले कार्यलयमा कार्यरत अधिकृत रामदयाल यादवले कोइरालाको कार्यकक्षमा प्रवेश गरी हातपात गरेको बताए। उनीहरुले करारमा रहेका केही कर्मचारीले शुक्रबार बिहान पहिला अधिकृत यादवको कार्यकक्षमा प्रवेश गरी तोडफोड गरेको र तोडफोड गर्ने मान्छे कोइरालाले पठाएको भन्दै यादवले हातपात गरेको बताएका छन्। कार्यकारी अधिकृत कोइरालाले आफुमाथि भएको हातपात र दुव्र्यवहारको जानकारी प्रमुख जिल्ला अधिकारी केशवराज घिमिरेलाई गराएको बताएका छन्। कर्मचारीले विगत केही समयदेखि उपमहानगरपालिकामा करारमा रहेका केही कर्मचारीको म्याद थप गर्ने वा नगर्ने भन्ने विषयमा कार्यकारी अधिकृत कोइराला र अधिकृत यादवबीच विवाद हँुदै आएको बताए। वडा प्रहरी कार्यलयका असई सुरेन्द्र यादवले हाल त्यहाँको अवस्था सामान्य रहेको बताए ।
