Anurudha Sah, 32, of Lalpur4 has been tortured in police custody. Area police office Golbazar beat Sah, who runs Sangam Hotel at Golbazar in Asanpur7 after taking him in custody on December 14.

The victim has complained of difficulty in walking due to the injury sustained in his right thigh by the torture. He said that SI Rudra Shrestha beat him at the sole of his feet after making him open his shoes. He has sustained blue marks on his back and injuries to his left eye, ear and face.

Police arrested him after his first wife filed a case against him on December 14 following a dispute between his two wives. <
