Police, Indian sand smugglers clash in Parsa near border

Tension ran high in the Oriya Khola of Parsa district, near the Nepal-India border, on Wednesday after more than 100 Indian sand smugglers intruded into the Nepali side and clashed with the Nepali security personnel. The clash ensued after the Armed Police Force personnel tried to stop sand smuggling from the river in Pidari Guthi of the district, which borders the Indian state of Bihar.
