Family of an 11-year-old girl of Galbubesi in Byas Municipality-1 has accused Ram Bahadur Gurung, 35, of same place of raping her on December 15. They have accused Gurung, a permanent resident of Milung VDC, of raping the girl while nobody was at her home.

The victim has told police that Gurung had raped her repeatedly. She had revealed the incident to her family only on December 17.

The incident was known after she told the locals about the incident as they enquired seeing her limping while walking. The locals said that the incident was brought to the police after efforts to settle it at the village failed.

The victim has filed a case against Gurung at the district police office on December 20. Locals handed the accused to police on same day.

Medical test of the girl was held at the Damauli hospital today.
