Cadres of Madhes based political parties staged protests on Monday morning by burning tyres at the Lahan section of East-West highway. They reportedly intended to affect CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal's visit to Lahan on Monday with cadres of his party. District Secretary of Federal Socialist Forum Party Prayaglal Yadav said, "We are only staging a peaceful demonstration against a leader who gave harsh comments about the Madhes Movement".
