Former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai says that naturalized citizens and government chiefs should be ineligible for the post in constituent assembly. Even CPN-UML is taking stand for this cause. However, Maoists and congress haven't been able to take stand against the same. Post 2063, citizenship was granted in a really ill manner. Even some foreigners were granted with citizenship and concerned authority hasn't been able to take any actions against them. Due to tons of natural resources and boarders, Terai area still holds a lot of prospects. Hence, random distribution of citizenship will affect the long term prospect of our country. Also, a decision that's taken without any consultation among the general public will create tremendous amount of debate and doubts.
