बागलुङ । चैत २५ गते हरिचौर गाविस-८ जामुने डाँडामा बेवारिसे अवस्थामा फेला परेको बम ०६९ चैत २४ गते नेपाली सेनाको बम डिस्पोजल टोलीले निष्क्रिय पारेको छ । स्थानीय बासिन्दाले ०६९ चैत २२ गते शंकास्पद वस्तु भेटिएको खबर गरेपछि गएको प्रहरीले उक्त शंकास्पद बस्तु बम भएको पुष्टी गरेको र सेनाले निष्क्रिय पारेको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय बागलुङले जनाएको छ । उक्त बम एसल बुष्टर माइन भएको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । बम डिष्पोजलका लागि नेपाली सेनाको सूर्यदल गणका सहसेनानी ईश्वर थापाको नेतृत्वमा ७ जनाको टोली चैत २४ गते त्यसतर्फगएको थियो । सशस्त्र द्वन्द्वको समयमा तत्कालिन सेना र प्रहरीको पोष्ट रहेको हरिचौर गाविस-८ जामुनेडाँडामा बम फेला परेको हो । पहिले स्थानीयवासीको जग्गामा पोष्ट निर्माण गरिएको र द्वन्द्व समाधानपछि पोष्ट हटाइए पनि विष्फोटक पदार्थ नहटाइएको हुनसक्ने प्रहरीले अनुमान गरेको छ । लामो समयसम्म नेपाली सेना तथा प्रहरीले पोष्ट निर्माण गरी बसको उक्त स्थानमा स्थानीय जग्गाधनीले जग्गा समथर बनाउने क्रममा गाडेर राखेको अवस्थामा उक्त शंकास्पद बस्तु भेटिएको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयले जनायो । रामबहादुर जिसी Baglung/April 7

A bomb disposal team of Nepal Army has defused the abandoned explosive device found in the Jamune danda of Harichaur8 on April 7.

 

Police had confirmed that the suspected device reported by the locals on April 4 was an explosive device. Police informed that the explosive device was an 'assault booster mine'.

 

A team led by Captain Ishwore Thapa of Suryadal battalion had defused the explosive device.

 

Nepal Army and police had stationed a post during the armed conflict at the site where the explosive device was found.

 

Police suspected that though the post was removed from the land belonging to a civilian after the conflict, the explosive devices might not have been removed.

 

According to the police, locals had found the explosive device while smoothing out the land.
