Police arrested five persons in suspicion of their involvement in the murder of taxi driver Raj Kumar Lama in Nayabasti, Jorpati. Police arrested Sangita Rai (Thing) of Solukhumbu, Arun Majhi, Diya Majhi and Maya Tamang of Kavre suspecting their involvement in Lama's murder. Lama was found unconscious in a drunken state near Helambu Restaurant owned by Rai at Nayabasti, Gokarneshwor Municipality on December 10. He had an injury in his head and died on his way to hospital for treatment. Police investigation has found Lama's murder was related to sexual affair. Relatives of Lama and locals had attacked the Nayabasti police post on Sunday blaming police negligence for his death, torching four motorcycles and breaking window panes.
