राष्ट्रिय मानवअधिकार आयोगमा कार्यरत एक ३७ वर्षीया महिलाले आफूलाई बलात्कारको प्रयास गरेको भन्दै कैलाली जिल्ला धनगढी घर भई हाल राष्ट्रिय मानवअधिकार आयोग उपक्षेत्रीय कार्यालय जुम्लाका प्रमुख ४५ वर्षीय झंकर रावलविरुद्ध ०६९ चैत २५ गते जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयमा जाहेरी दर्ता गराएकी छन् ।
आरोपित रावलले आफूलाई ०६९ चैत ३ गते राति चन्दननाथ-६ भारतीवाडा कार्यालयमै जबरजस्ती करणीको प्रयास गरेको दाबी गरेकी छिन् । घटनाको विषयमा पीडित महिलाले चैत २१ गते नै प्रहरीमा उजुरी दिए पनि २५ गतेमात्र दर्ता भएको हो ।
रावल र आफू एउटै भन्सामा खाना खाने गरेको र त्यस दिन पनि खाना खाएर कोठामा पानी पुर्याउन जाँदा रावलले बलात्कारको प्रयास गरेको पीडितले बताइन् । पति कोठामा आउदाँ आफू रोइरहेको देखेर घटनाका बारेमा बताएपछि पतिले आवेशमा रावललाई हातपात गरेको र त्यसैलाई कारण बनाएर पतिलाई जागिरबाट समेत हटाएको पनि उनको दाबी छ ।
घटनाका सम्बन्धमा आरोपितले पीडितका पति सोही कार्यालयमा सुरक्षा गार्डको रूपमा कार्यरत रहेको र कार्यालय समयमा मदिरा सेवन गरी काममा बेवास्ता गरेकाले कारबाहीको लागि केन्द्रीय कार्यालयमा जानकारी गराएको र केन्द्रले निजलाई सेवाबाट हटाएको प्रतिशोधले आफूलाई फसाउन यस्तो आरोप लगाइएको बताए ।
जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयले मुद्दा आज नै दर्ता भएकोले घटना अनुसन्धानको प्रक्रियामा रहेको प्रतिक्रिया दिएको छ ।

A 37-year-old woman has filed a complaint against the chief of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) sub-regional office Jhankar Rawal, 45, at the District Police Office on April 7 on charge of attempting to rape her.
The woman, also a staff at the same office, accused that Rawal, a resident of Dhangadhi, Kailali of attempting to rape her at the office in Bharatiwada in Chandannath6 on March 16. Though the woman had made the complaint on April 3, it was registered on April 7. She said that Rawal tried to rape her as she went inside his room to give him water.
According to the woman, her husband had manhandled Rawal after she told him about the incident. She said that her husband, who worked as the security guard in the office, was sacked from the job for manhandling Rawal.
Meanwhile, Rawal said that her husband was removed from the post by the central office as he used come inebriated in the office time and was not serious in his work. He said that he was charged with the accusation to revenge sacking of her husband.
The DPO said that investigation was ongoing into the incident.
