Nepal Army (NA) has defused a sutali bomb found at Mukti Chowk of Birtamod in Anarmani3 on December 22.

A local woman had noticed the bomb at 6 am and informed about it to the Birtamod Area Police Office (APO) immediately.

Police arrived in the area the bomb was found and called 21 Brigade of Charali based NA to dispose it. A disposal squad of the NA took the bomb to a stream 500 west from the site the bomb was found and defused it in the afternoon, police said, adding that Birtamod locals were terrified after they came to know about the incident.

The sutali bomb might be plated by unidentified gang in order to terrify people, Chhabi Raman Bhattarai, Inspector at Birtamod APO said, adding that investigation of the incident is underway.
