Police on Wednesday reportedly arrested a man for mugging a pedestrian in Koteshwor, KMC-35. The arrestee has been identified as Bikram Lama (29) of Timal-8 in Kavrepalanchok district, and the victim of the incident has been identified as Laxmi Dahal of Govindapur VDC-7 in Morang district. Lama injured Dahal by pelting him with a stone from behind. Subsequently, he pushed him to the ground and snatched a bag from him before he fled the scene, according to police. Acting on a report filed with police, a team of security personnel deployed from the Metropolitan Police Sector, Koteshwor, immediately, detained Lama from the street in front of Sallaghari Dohori Sanjh, Koteshwor. Meanwhile, the investigation into the case is underway, said police. ढुंगा प्रहार गरी लुटपाट गरेको अभियोगमा काभ्रे तिमाल–८ घर भएका २९ बर्षीय बिक्रम लामालाई प्रहरीले पक्राउ गरेको छ । लामाले बुधबार काठमाडौँ महानगरपालिका–३५ कोटेश्वर स्थित बाटोमा हिडिरहेका मोरङ गोविन्दपुर–७ घर भएका लक्ष्मी दाहाललाई पछाडीबाट ढुंगा प्रहार गरी लछार पछार पारी साथमा रहेको व्याग लुटी भागेका थिए । उक्त घटनाको खबर प्राप्त हुनासाथ महानगरीय प्रहरी प्रभाग कोटेश्वरबाट खटिएको प्रहरी टोलीले उनलाई कोटेश्वर सल्लाघारी दोहरीसाँझ अगाडीबाट पक्राउ गरेको हो । यस सम्बन्धमा प्रहरलिे आवश्यक अनुसन्धान गरिरहेको छ ।
