Ramila Dhami, 40, and Dhwaj Bahadur Nepali, 29, of Binayak1 who were expelled from the village on April 3 on charge of having illicit relationship, have been misbehaved.
A local and CPN-M district secretary Mina Dhami informed INSEC DR that they were held by Dhami’s relatives on April 2 and handed over to Binayak Area Police Office. She added they were released the next day after the villagers requested the police saying the issue would be settled in the village.
The villagers led by former DDC member Dil Bahadur Dhami and Tanka Dhami accused Ramila of the affair and pressurized her husband Ram Bahadur to leave her.
Dhwaj Bahadur has not returned home after the incident while Ramila was brought back her husband.
DSP Shyam Prasad Paudel said that they had handed over the victims after the villagers said that they would compromise in the village adding the police did not follow up after that.
