An inmate of Siraha District Jail has died on December 23.

Mohamad Manir Raain, 44 of Inarwa5 of Dhanusha who suddenly fell sick was taken to hospital, however, he died later.

Raain was taken to Siraha District Hospital after he vomited in the morning and he was taken to Lahan hospital as his treatment was not possible in the District Hospital , jailer Babita Kumar Mahato said. But, Raain died on the way to Siraha Hospital .

Raain, who was transferred to Siraha Jail from Birgunj Jail last year, was serving jail terms in a murder case, the jail administration said, adding that the body has been kept in Lahan Hospital for post mortem.
