Residents of Mirjapur-1 Indrasan Prasad Kalwar, Bidanand Prasad Kalwar, Ranjay Yadav and resident of Dhobini-4 Amod Chaudhary have been injured after being beaten by employees of local contractor. The employees reportedly beat the four for refusing to pay excess amount for sand. They are undergoing treatment at Narayani sub-regional Hospital, Birgunj said, police. The incident took place yesterday near Bhulwahi river at around 5 pm. A complaint has been filed against the contractor at District Development Committee, Parsa. As per the rule, the contractor can only charge Rs 4 per cubic foot of sand but the contractor was charging Rs 6. Police said that they victims were beaten after refusing to pay more than required by rule. ठेकेदारले गैरकानुनीरूपमा पैसा उठाइरहेको बेला सेवाग्राहीले दिन नमानेपछि उनीहरूको कुटाइबाट चारजना घाइते भएका छन् । घाइते हुनेमा मिर्जापुर–१ भलुवही निवासी इन्द्रासनप्रसाद कलावार, बिदानन्द प्रसाद कलवार, रन्जय यादव, धोबिनी –४ का आमोद चौधरी रहेका छन् । उनीहरूको उपचार नारायणी उपक्षेत्रीय अस्पताल वीरगंजमा भइरहेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । यो घटना भलुवही खोला नजिक हिजो साँझ ५ बजेको हो । ठेकेदारका कर्मचारीहरूले उनीहरूलाई कुटपीट गरी घाइते बनाएको पीडीतहरूले जनाएका छन् । ठेकेदार विरुद्ध जिल्ला विकास समिति पर्सामा उजुरीसमेत परेको छ । सो सम्बन्धमा जिल्ला विकास समिति पर्साले ठेकेदार विरुद्ध कारबाई प्रक्रिया अगाडि बढाएको जिविस स्रोतले जनाएको छ । नियम अनुसार जिल्ला बिकास समितिबाट प्राप्त खोलाबाट बालुवा प्रति घनफिट रु ४ को दरले लिनुपर्नेमा ठेकेदारले बलजबरजस्ती रु ६ उठाइरहेको छ । सरदर प्रतिट्याक्टर रु ४ सयको सट्टा ठेक्दारले ६ सय लिने गरेकोले विरोध गर्दा कुटपिट गरेको प्रहरीले जनाएको छ । घाइते हुनेहरूमा ना. ५.त ९२७४, ना.४.ख ९४९३ नम्बरका ट्याक्टर धनी तथा चालक रहेका छन् । यस विषयमा ठेकेदारका प्रतिनिधि अशोककुमार साहसँग बुझ्दा आफ्नो कर्मचारीले नभई गाउँलेहरूले कुटपिट गरेको बताए ।
