A body of an abandoned infant was found in a canal in Bajura district on Tuesday morning. The baby was spotted at Majh canal located at Thipichaur when the local residents were preparing to take bath. Later, they brought the body under police surveillance at Kolti Primary Health Centre, according to police. Kolti Airport’s security guard Inspector Dambar Bahadur Thapa, said the police were investigating if the baby was ditched in the canal by a couple after an illicit affair. Meanwhile, the body is kept at the health centre for postmortem. Police are yet to identify the body. They suspect that the person who supposedly ditched the baby on Monday night could be a resident of Kolti Bazaar. कोल्टीमा बेबारिसे अवस्थामा शिशुको शव भेटीएको छ। कोल्टी १ थिपिचौर स्थित माझ कुलोको नहरमा शव भेटिएको प्रहरीले बताएको छ। शव विहान नुहाउन गएका स्थानीयले देखेपछि प्रहरीको रोहबरमा कोल्टी प्राथामिक स्वास्थ्य केन्द्रमा ल्याईएको थियो। कोल्टी विमानस्थल सुरक्षा गार्डको प्रहरी निरीक्षक डम्बरबहादुर थापाले कसैले अवैध यौन सम्बन्धपछि जन्मिएको शिशु मारेर फालेको हुनसक्ने बताउँदै अनुसन्धान भइरहेको बताए। शव प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केन्द्र कोल्टीमा ल्याएर पोष्टमार्टम गरिएको छ। शवको पहिचान हुन सकेको छैन् । हिजै साँझ मात्र फालिएको हुन सक्ने प्रहरीले अनुमान गरेको छ। कोल्टी बजारकै व्यक्तिहरुले अवैध रुपमा जन्माएको बच्चा भएकोले मारेर फालेको आशंका गरिएको प्रहरीले बताएको छ।
