Dalit penalized for entering into the temple

[Updated] Krishna Kumar B.K, 40 of Ramechhap Betali VDC-3 was penalized Rs 5,000 by the priest Chhatra Bahadur Budathoki of the same place on charge of entering into the temple. The victim was accused of entering into the Serkali temple and penalized by some upper caste people of the village on February 4. The victim lodged a complaint of caste discrimination at Area Police Office on February 5 against the accused for justice.

Police have arrested priest Chattra Bahadur Budathoki, 40 and Bhim Bahadur Budathoki, 50 on February 6 on charge of restricting 40 years old Krishna Kumar B.K of Betali VDC-3 to enter into the temple. Priot to the arrested of the accused, the victim was penalized of Rs 5,000 on charge of entering the temple. The victim had lodged complaint at police post of Betali on February 5 against the accused under caste discrimination. DSP Kumud Dhungel of District Police Office said that the accused will be charged as per the legal provision. Update.....
