Local Body Trade Union Joint Coordination Committee launched a protest at District Development Committee, Rautahat putting forth a six-point demand on Sunday. Employees affiliated to different unions led by Local Body Employees Saptari Chairman Shambhu Yadav padlocked the DDC office at 10:00 am. The committee launched protest demanding conduct of civic polls as per the new structure of local bodies proposed by the local bodies restructuring Commission. Yadav warned of closing all services at the VDC's and municipalities unless their demand were met.
