Tension has flared in Biratnagar after a dozer rammed a college student on Thursday. The victim has been identified as Rupesh Yadav of Mahendra Morang Campus. Police had to open four rounds of fire to take the situation under control after the irate students took to the streets and set a fire to the dozer. Secretary of the All Nepal National Free Students (ANNFSU) Osim Alam accused the police of using excessive force by entering the premises of the campus. He said that they will not withdraw their protest until the government provides treatment to the injured. Yadav, student of BBS 2nd Year of Mahendra Morang Campus, was injured by the dozer when he was coming out of the campus gate. He is undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar. सडक निर्माणमा खटिएको डोजरको ठक्करबाट विद्यार्थी घाइते भएपछि उत्पन्न तनावग्रस्त स्थितिलाई नियन्त्रणमा लिन प्रहरीले चार राउन्ड हवाई फायर गरेको छ। विराटनगरको रोडशेस चोक क्षेत्रमा बाटो निर्माणमा खटिएको डोजरले बिहीबार क्याम्पस समयमा महेन्द्र मोरङ क्याम्पसको विविएस दोस्रो वर्षमा अध्ययनरत सुरज यादवलाई ठक्कर दिएको थियो। ठक्करबाट यादव घाइते भएपछि आक्रोशित विद्यार्थीले डोजरमा आगजनी गरेपछि स्थिति तनावपूर्ण बनेको थियो। विद्यार्थीले क्याम्पस परिसरभित्रबाट प्रहरीमाथि ढुंगामुडा गर्न थालेपछि स्थिति तनावग्रस्त बनेको थियो। घाइते यादवलाई उपचारका लागि अस्पताल लगिएको छ। विद्यार्थीले आक्रोशित हुँदै प्रदर्शनसमेत गर्न थालेपछि जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयबाट स्थिति नियन्त्रणमा लिन पुगेको प्रहरी टोलीसँग झडप भएको हो। घटना साम्य पार्न प्रहरीले चार राउन्ड हवाई फायर गरेको थियो। पक्राउ परेका चारजना विद्यार्थीलाई भने प्रहरीले छाडिदिएको छ। स्थिति नियन्त्रणमा आइसकेको जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय मोरङले जनाएको छ। प्रहरीले डोजर चालक ब्रिजेशकुमार गुप्तालाई नियन्त्रणमा लिएको छ। विवाद मिलाउन एमाले निकट विद्यार्थी संगठन अनेरास्ववियूको टोली जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालय मोरङ पुगेको छ।
