With the Free Students Union election just around the corner, tension has flared at both of the colleges in the district. The All Nepal National Independent Union Revolutionary (ANNISU-R), the student wing of CPN (Maoist Center), has padlocked Gorkha Campus. The notice pasted on the wall of the college has said that the ANNISU-R had padlocked the college after the election panel did not put the union at the second number in the list while filing the nominations. With the disturbance, the election work has not moved ahead Election Officer Yadu Adhikari told Republica Online. The nomination has been filed at these campuses. As many as 600 students at Gorkha campus are taking part in the FSU elections.
