Kathmandu/April 29 Press Chautari Nepal has expressed concern over the attack attempt on the editor of Rajdhani daily and central advisor of Press Chautari Nepal Ganesh Basnet on April 27. Issuing a press statement, Press Chautari called for protection of right of the media persons to movement without obstruction. The press body also demanded that the police administration find the culprit and bring them to justice. An unidentified group had tried to hit the motorcycle that Basnet was riding thrice while he was returning home from office. Basnet said that he was able to save himself by taking the motorcycle to the footpath. Basnet has filed a complaint at the Metropolitan Police Sector on April 28. DSP Chakra Bahadur Singh of the Metropolitan Police range Hanumandhoka said the culprits had not been confirmed and that search for them was underway.
