A 13-year-old girl of Phoolbari5 has been gangraped by drivers in the Devariya Jungle in Dhangadhi Municipality-7 on December 25.

According to the girl, she was picked up by a driver of a white pick up truck and his assistant from Manera Jungle on Dhangadhi- Phoolbari Road around 5 pm as she was travelling to Dhangadhi from Phoolbari.

She filed an FIR on rape at District Police Office on December 26 with the assistance of human rights defenders. She was taken to Seti Zonal Hospital for medical check up.

The girl said the drivers fled after dumping her in Devariya Village at around 11 pm adding she sought refuge in the village for the night after being left stranded.

Police said that they were searching for the perpetrators.
