The District Court, on May 5, has slapped Yogendra Ghimire, 20, of Parebadin VDC-7 with 20-year imprisonment, convicting him of killing Mandira Katuwal, 11, of same VDC.
The girl, a permanent resident of Marekkatahare VDC-4, was staying at her sister's home in Parebadin VDC-7 when the incident occurred.
The court informed that Pahalman Ghimire, 65, and Lakshmi Ghimire, 40, of same place who were arrested during the investigation have been acquitted.
The girl was killed when she had gone to cut grass on November 28, 2012. The accused were arrested from home on murder charge seven days later.
Aitna Bahadur Katuwal, uncle of the deceased had filed a complaint at the District Police Office on November 30, 2012. Post-mortem of the deceased was performed the same day she was killed.

मारेककटहरे गाविस-४ स्थायी घर भई हाल परेवादिन गाविस-७ नाम्जाङस्थित दिदीभेनाकोमा बस्दै आएकी ११ वर्षीया बालिका मन्दिरा कटुवाललाई बलात्कारपछि हत्या गरेको ठहर गर्दै परेवादिन गाविस-७ का २० वर्षीय योगेन्द्र घिमिरेलाई ०७० वैशाख २२ गते २० वर्षको कैद सजाँय सुनाएको छ ।
उक्त घटनाको अनुसन्धानका क्रममा गिरफ्तार गरिएका अन्य सोही स्थानका ६५ वर्षीय पहलमान घिमिरे र ४० वर्षीया लक्ष्मी घिमिरेलाई भने घटनामा संलग्न नरहेको पाइएकोले सफाइ दिइएको जिल्ला अदालतले जनाएको छ ।
मृत्तक बालिकालाई घाँस काट्न गएको बेला ०६९ मंसिर १३ गते घरनजिकैको जंगलमा बलात्कारपछि हत्या गरिएको थियो । हत्याको आरोपमा पीडकहरूलाई ०६९ मंसिर २० गते घरैबाट गिरफ्तार गरी कर्तव्यज्यान अन्तर्गतको मुद्दा दायर गरेको थियो ।
सो घटनापश्चात् मृतकका काका ५० वर्षीय एत्नबहादुर कटुवालले ०६९ मंसिर १५ गते जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयमा उजुरी दिएका थिए । मृत्तकको सोही दिन जिल्ला अस्पतालमा पोष्टमार्टम भएको थियो ।
