An FIR on murder has been filed at District Police Office after 10 years of the incident. Krishna Lal Rai of Pathibhara VDC-6 filed the FIR against Ram Bahadur Rai, of ward no. 7 of the same family on April 26 for the murder of his elder brother Gyan Bahadur Rai also known as Gore. Gore was hacked to death by Ram Bahadur on June 24, 2003. Police arrested Ram Bahadur on May 2 on the basis of the FIR and filed a case of intentional homicide the same day. A team of police led by SI Shyam Raut also exhumed Gore’s body. The case was settled by the Maoists soon after the incident saying the government would not do anything.
